Alternatives!

First off, I would like to thank all of you for your great responses and interest in my blog! It is greatly appreciated. Secondly, I would to let all of you know that this is my last post - so weigh in with your opinions!

Now that you are all aware of the reasons and risks in relation to cosmetic plastic surgery in teenagers, I'm sure many of you are wondering, "What can I do to improve my self-esteem without undergoing such drastic procedures?" Below I have compiled some simple solutions to a low self-esteem and 5 effortless steps to improving it!

  • Teenagers with a low self-confidence that wish to change a physical attribute, without undergoing a cosmetic procedure, should identify which aspects of their physical appearance that they can realistically change and which ones they can not.

  • On the other hand, if you are seeking a change that comes from within, a better body-image or higher self-confidence, consider these alternatives...:

-Counseling: Counseling is a highly confidential way to adress personal body image issues. There are actually professional who focus on that issue in particular!

- Join a positive body-image support group

-Learn to love yourself: Love yourself for all that you are, nobody is perfect!

-Become your body's bestfriend!: Eliminate self-criticism and begin to think positively about yourself. When you start to think kindly about yourself, not only will it become natural, but your self-love will actually grow!

-Have fun, don't sweat the small things!
